Kritika Saini (b. 2003, Rohtak) is an artist based in Canterbury, working across charcoal drawings on paper mounted on panels, as well as oil and acrylic paintings on linen inspired by Old Master painting. She is best known for mixed-media works and installations that reframe ordinary everyday objects as symbolic carriers of contemporary social issues, using layered textures and a balanced palette of muted and bold tones to construct thought-provoking visual narratives. Her practice explores contemporary social issues through the lens of everyday life, focusing on overlooked objects and their role in shaping human routines, values, and societal structures. Characterised by a sensitive attention to form, composition, and symbolism, her work elevates the mundane into subjects of reflection. A significant body of work is the Ordinary Objects series (2026), exhibited at Abbot’s Mill Garden, where acrylic paintings draw attention to often ignored elements that quietly sustain daily life. Kritika Saini has exhibited at The Stables Gallery; University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury, including the B.A. Year 2 Exhibition and Year 1 Exhibition; and the Year 1 Pop-Up Exhibition at Herbert Read Gallery. She has also participated in the National Youth Festival 2023 organised by the Association of Indian Universities and a Floral Event 2023 at MDU University, India. Her works are held in various private national and international collections.
